About this place
Before the heat from the charcoal or grill plate even arrives, the variety of meat dishes on the menu draws immediate attention. Situated in Minato Ward's Shiba district near Keio University, PANCHAN serves classic yakiniku alongside appetizers and creative meat specialties crafted with modern Korean flair.
A frequent signature order is the "Best Salted Tongue of Your Life." Cut thick and thoroughly coated in scallion-salt marinade, it cooks slowly over the flame, yielding a fragrant, crisp surface and a juicy, savory bite as you chew. Other cuts tailored to bring out individual characteristics include the tender "Best Salted Harami of Your Life" steeped in scallion salt, and the sukiyaki-style sirloin seared quickly and coated in raw egg yolk.
The side dishes between grilled courses are equally substantial. The "King's Supreme Yukhoe" and "Cavi-Uni-Beef Sushi," both lavishly topped with sea urchin and caviar, alongside sweet, sticky soy-marinated shrimp, serve as ideal starters with drinks. To finish, chilled sudachi citrus noodles provide a clean, tangy palate cleanser, while yukhoe bibimbap tossed with aromatic greens like mitsuba leaves leaves a delightfully fragrant lingering note.
The restaurant spans 2 floors, offering counter and table seating on the 1st floor and additional tables on the 2nd floor, with orders placed through a smartphone mobile system. Lunch brings options like the "Forbidden Yukhoe-mabushi" and accessible yakiniku sets, while evening dinner courses can be paired with all-you-can-drink plans, making the space flexible for casual drinks after work or group gatherings alike.
